Dacoits loot three homes in Mirchaiya

SIRAHA: Three homes were looted in Mirchiya municipality-7 of Siraha last night. A group of eight to ten masked men carried out bomb blasts before robbing off the villagers.

Property worth more than Rs. one million including cash, gold ornaments, mobile sets, laptop and other goods were looted from the homes of Rajaram Yadav, Rameswar Yadav and

Mira Pokharel, according to the Area Police Office, Mirchaiya. The police office however is just a kilometer away from where the looting took place.

A local Lalitadevi Yadav was injured after she tried to defend the dacoits. She was hit by a sharp weapon and is undergoing treatment at local hospital. An investigation into the incident is underway, police inspector Shyam Singh Chaudhary said.
