Changing current govt into national consensus, Ruling Madhesi Alliance’s priority

KATHMANDU:
Ruling alliance United Madhesi Democratic Front (UDMF) has concluded that the incumbent government should be transformed into a national consensus government. However, it has said that it can consider the change of guard only if the Prime Minister is picked from the current coalition.

The meeting of the UDMF has decided only to discuss upon the alternative of the government leadership under opposition only the opposition parties agree to accept the condition of package deal including agreement to take up ownership of the content of the constitution that was already agreed with a commitment to present in upcoming CA for endorsement. The meeting of UDMF held at office of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum(Democratic) in Lalitpur on Saturday has also floated a nine-point proposal for forging the consensus.
