Curfew clamped in Sindhuli following the rising tension

The Sindhuli district administration has imposed an indefinite curfew from 4:30 this afternoon following rising tension in the district headquarters Sindhulimadi after the death of an inmate in the district prison. Niraj Devkota was killed in a clash ensued between the two rival groups in the Sindhuli prison last night. The curfew orders have been confirmed by Chief District Officer Keshav Raj Acharya. The Director General of Department of Prison Management is the Coordinator of the team while Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police of Regional Police Office and Investigation Director of Central Regional Office of Department of National Investigation are the members of the probe panel, according to a press communiqué of the Ministry.
