Congress, UML are power greed, accuses Minister Mahato
Minister for Health and Population Rajendra Mahato has accused the main opposition parties- Nepali Congress and CPN (UML)- were only engaged in the greed for the government leadership by ignoring the issue of constitution drafting.
He also said that an independent person would be picked as a Prime Minister candidate if opposition parties continue claiming stake over government leadership.
Speaking at a program in Jaleswor, Minister Mahato, a leader of the United Democratic Madhesi Front, blamed the opposition parties of not showing much interest for the constitution drafting including resolving other contentious issues.
He also claimed that the fresh election to Constituent Assembly (CA) wold take place in coming April-May.
He, however, said that the leadership of the government could be transferred to the Congress if it agrees on the package deal.
‘If Congress coems up with readiness to strike package deal on the issues of federal democratic republic, new constitution, inclusion and provinces with identity, we are eager to hand over the government’s key to NC,’ Mahato argued.
