Congress-aligned organizations announce protest programs to topple govt
Following the footstep of the mother party, Nepal Women’s Association (NWA), Nepal Tarun Dal and Nepal Students’ Union (NSU), the sister-wings of Nepali Congress, have also announced the protest program in a bid to topple Dr Baburam Bhattarai led government from the street.
According to the protest program, they will hold a rally on Thursday. Similarly, the sister-wings will also perform symbolic final rites of PM Dr Bhattarai on Sunday.
Organizing a joint press meet in the capital on Wednesday, leaders of these organizations have demanded the immediate resignation of the incumbent government to pave the way for national consnensus.
Speaking at the press meet,Congress Leader Nabindra Raj Joshi accused ruling UCPN (Maoist) for going against the basic democratic norms and values.
Likewise, Nepal Tarun Dal President Uday Shumser Rana said corruption, impunity and insecurity was on the rise in the country and political sister wings should not remain silent in such a situation.
