Communist-turned-Royalist Keshar Jung Rayamajhi dies

Former General Secretary of Nepal Communist Party and the Chairperson of dissolved Rajyasabha Standing Committee Dr Keshar Jung Rayamajhi died of heart attack at his residence on Monday. He was 93.
Rayamajhi had assumed the responsibility of general secretary of Nepal Communist Party till 2017 B.S.
Rayamajhi had played a vital role to establish the community party in Nepal but ultimately changed his political doctrine and shifted his loyalty to monarchy after the royal coup in 2017 B.S.
The last rites of Rayamajhi would be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Tuesday morning, it is learnt.
