CJ Parajuli gets retirement letter
KATHMANDU: Secretary of Judicial Council Nripdhowj Niraula has written to Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli stating that he retired from the post in the last Sawan for completing 65 years of age as per his citizenship certificate, academic qualifications and sheet-roll details.
The letter written today in the name of Chief Justice Parajuli mentions that he ‘was not in the post’ since he was already 65 years old on Sawan 21, 2074 BS.
Secretary Niraula has stated that Chief Justice Parajuli crossed 65 already in accordance to his date of birth mentioned in the academic qualifications and sheet roll received on Wednesday itself from the Office of the Controller of Examinations and Parajuli was thereby informed about his retirement based on the secretary-level decision.
However, the Supreme Court has not released any statement so far in this regard.
