Civil servants application for VRS will not be approved : Minister Pandit

BIRATNAGAR: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Lal Babu Pandit has said that the present government was ready to increase the civil servants’ perks and facilities.
Speaking at a gathering of office heads at the District Administration Office, Morang here today, Minister Pandit however said to enjoy increased perks the civil servants first need to report to their respective duty stations. None of the applications for voluntary retirement will be accepted, he said and added, “VRS is not a right but only a privilege”.
He also said that it was because the technical employees did work in the field and sites that the country is at such a bad shape today.
Secretary at the MoFAGA Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya urged the civil servants to stop creating hurdles to the implementation of federalism and help implement the decisions taken by the Ministry to make the local level active and dynamic. RSS
