Chief Minister Rai sworn in

BIRATNAGAR: State Chief of Province No. 1 Dr. Govinda Bahadur Tumbahangphe today administered oath of office and secrecy to Chief Minister of Province No. 1 Sher Dhan Rai.
The parliamentary party leader of the UML’s Province No. 1 was elected to the province assembly from Bhojpur district.
Born to Jagir Man and Ramri Maya, Rai is an MA Graduate in Sociology.
Currently, Rai is also the politburo member of the UML and Co In-charge of Province No. 1 of the party.
Earlier, Rai had also served as the Minister for Information and Communications in the KP Oli Sharma-led government.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Rai appointed four ministers to his cabinet as per Article 168 (9) of the Constitution of Nepal.
Hikmat Karki was appointed the Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Indra Bahadur Angbuhang as the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Jiban Ghimire as the Minister for Social Development and Jagdish Kushiyet as the Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment.
After the appointment of the ministers, State Chief Dr Tumbahangphe administered oath of office and secretary to the newly-appointed ministers of the Province No. 1. RSS
