Case filed against four on charges of murdering journalist Paudel

BHADRAPUR: The District Government Attorney’s Office, Jhapa, filed murder cases at the District Court here against four people for their alleged involvement in the killing of journalist Yadav Paudel.

District Attorney Bhanubhakta Kafle said cases have been filed against 39-year-old Somnath Dhakal, the proprietor of the Hotel Purbanchal Sekuwa Corner and Guest House at Naya Bus Park in Birtamod, 26-year-old Fulmaya Karki alias Manju Dhakal, 34-year-old Yubaraj Giri, an hotelier of Sanischare-5 and a contractor Madan Rai of Panchthar.

Dhakal hails from Sundarpur in Morang district and currently running the guest house at Sanishchare-7. Giri and Rai are currently living in Anarmani-3. They have been kept in police custody awaiting trial.

The Jhapa-based journalist Yadav Paudel, 32, was found murdered in front of Hotel Purbanchal Sekuwa Corner and Guest House at Birtamod on the night of April 3, 2012. RSS
