Cancer hospital tense following patient’s death

KATHMANDU: Tension gripped the Chitwan Cancer Hospital on Friday, following the issue of a patient’s death. Tension ran high at the hospital after one Bir Bahadur Chand beat up hospital nurse Anita Bhusal, following the death of his daughter, Barsha.

Bir Bahadur is the former Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Armed Police Force. Cancer patient Barsha died in course of treatment last night.

It is learnt that Bhusal has suffered injuries on her head.

The hospital employees have brought all the services except emergency one to a halt in protest of an attack on their colleague, said an employee Ramesh Poudel. They have demanded security and guarantee of working environment.

However, police said that former APF officer might have turned to such activity due to emotional tensions caused by the death of his daughter.

An investigation into the case is underway, said police.  RSS
