Cadre of Chand-led Maoist group arrested in Jumla
JUMLA:- A cadre of Netra Bikram Chand-led Maoist group was arrested in Jumla today. Information Officer at the District Police Office Rajendra Chand informed that Shakta Singh Rokaya, 29, of Sinja rural municipality-1 was taken under police control.
Rokaya was arrested while the Chand-led outfit group was staging a torch rally in Sinja. According to the district police office, a case of offense has been filed against him.
Meanwhile, in view of increasing number of coronavirus infected people, the two wards of Chandannath municipality have been sealed off.
Chief District Officer Bhupendra Thapa informed that the wards were sealed off when the locals of wards residing in the district-level integrated quarantines had tested positive for the virus.
The administration has sealed off Dewaldanda in the east, Jugadkhola in the west, Sinamul in the north and the charkilla area of Jumla multiple campus in the south. The curfew clamped in Jumla after the confirmation of coronavirus infected patients was lifted since 12.00 on last Friday night.
