Broader Madeshi Front to obstruct House session
KATHMANDU: Madhesh based parties affiliated to the Broader Madheshi Front (BMF) have announced plans to obstruct today’s session of the legislative parliament to protest the recent agreement between three parties on federalism.
BMF leader and MJF-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav while claiming that the three-party understanding cannot be imposed as national consensus announced plans to obstruct the House session so as to secure national consensus.
He accused the lead political parties of neglecting the aspirations of other parties in concluding the deal and downplaying the issue of national consensus.
Meanwhile, the BMF has also asked the CA to provide it with the status of main opposition in the parliament.
Writing a letter to the CA chairman on Thursday, Yadav demanded that status claiming that the party was the largest in the opposition for the time being.
