British Minister of State meets UML chair Khanal
During the meeting, Duncan put queries about Nepal’s current political crisis, peace process, issues of major bone of contention in constitution making process and solution to the present political deadlock, the UML said. The UML has stated that the British Minister appraised about supports by the United Kingdom and European Union to resolve the present political crisis.
On the occasion, Chairman Khanal said national consensus was the only way to resolve the political crisis in Nepal and stressed that the political parties should begin fresh consultations from the point of misunderstanding created in the past. Khanal also expressed confidence that debates and discussions on form of governance and federalism were underway and the parties could reach consensus soon. British Ambassador to Nepal John Tucknott was also present on the occasion.
