Among the rescued people in that period are 106 women, 64 girls and 36 boys. They were rescued while being trafficked to India, police said.
According to police, they were lured by middlemen and being taken to India under dubious pretexts and the border police intercepted and rescued them. They were handed over to their guardians, police said.
Representatives of Maiti Nepal, KI Nepal and Sana Haat Nepal were involved in interrogating these women and children at the border point, it is stated.
