Border Security Force of Nepal inspect border pillars in Ilam
ILAM: The on-site visit of border pillars between Nepal and India in Ilam district has been concluded.
A team of Armed Police Force’s (AFP) Nepal Battalion Headquarters No 1 has been assigned in the bordering area that conducted the study.
According to the study, there were thick bushes surrounding the border pillars in many places due to which those pillars were being damaged
The areas spanning from Sandakpur at Sandakpur Rural Municipality-4 in the district to Jarmale in Rong Rural Municipality-6 in the district borders India.
The study, according to Superintendent of Police at the Nepal Battalion Headquarter No 1’s Bidur Khatiwada, showed that many of those pillars were covered by moss and lichen.
A 31-member team led by Police Inspector Hari Rimal had inspected the border pillars from Mane Bhanjyang at Suryodaya Municipality-1 to Jirmale at Rong Rural Municipality-6 on September 11 in the first phase.
The inspection today returned to their office from the field, shared SP Khatiwada.
