Bir Hospital staff continue protest against drunken stupor of state minister

KATHMANDU: Medical and non-medical staffs at the nation’s oldest Bir Hospital continued agitation against State Minister for Health and Population Saroj Yadav.

Minister Yadav had misbehaved with the hospital’s staff under the influence of alcohol on Sunday night and had even demanded the employees to produce senior executives of the hospitals before him.

Following the act, hospital staffs have been protesting and on Wednesday they went to work by tying black bands around their shoulder to protest against the behavior of Yadav.

Nepal Health Workers’ Association, Nepal Nursing Association and Nepal Civil Servant Employees’ Organisation, among others, staged protested on Tuesday against the misconduct of the minister.
