Bijukche advises Bhattarai to move ahead by forging consensus

BHAKTAPUR: Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and Chairperson of Nepal Peasants Workers Party (NWPP) Narayan Man Bijukchhe held a meeting at the latter’s residence in Bhaktapur this morning.

Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai, who reached Bijukchhe’s residence with his wife Hisila Yami, held a meeting with leader Bijukchhe for 40 minutes.

Talking to media after the meeting, Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai said he had come here to take advice from experienced leader Bijukchhe in course of addressing the current political problem of the country.

Leader Bijukchhe suggested him to move ahead by taking all the parties in to confidence rather than giving up the culture of making decisions in the presence of three main political parties and also bring about budget on consensus, the Prime Minister briefed.

The government should put forward a process to approach other countries in addition to India to ensure smooth import of chemical fertilizers and also check foreign interference in education, Bijukchhe said after the meeting.

Asked as how budget would come, Prime Minister replied, ‘There is no doubt about the unveiling of new budget. I have initiated dialogue with political parties’ leaders so it will be brought out on consensuses’.

Earlier, Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai, who reached Tathali VDC-8, Saudole of Bhaktapur on Sunday evening to enquire about people’s problems, had returned his residence at 6.45 AM this morning. RSS
