Bigwigs meet inconclusive yet again
KATHMANDU: Decisive meeting of three lead political parties, including the Madheshi Front ended inconclusively after each of them stuck to their own agenda on disputed issues related to state restructuring.
Exiting the meeting, that was called through special efforts of Maoist Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal, Madheshi Front leader Rajendra Mahato said that the meeting failed to make headway in resolving disputes related to the constitution writing after parties exhibited rigidness in giving up their stance.
UML leader K P Oli, said that he was dejected to walk for the meeting at such late hours, after he did not find any new agendas coming from the Maoist side, who had called the meeting.
Though the meeting remained inconclusive, parties have agreed to continue discussions on Sunday morning- the last day of the four year old Constituent Assembly.
During the meeting, parties had mulled over 8, 10 and 11 federal states but failed to resolve disputes on the nomenclature and boundaries of the constitution confirmed sources.
