Best President Awards to Dolpa Farmers

KHALANGA: Three farmers from Dolpa district have been conferred on the Best President Award for their significant contribution to agriculture.
Chhabi Kumar Shrestha from Rangsi-5, Gyan Bahadur Gharti from Libang-4, and Ransing Budha from Ghartigaon-8 were provided the awards at a programme organized at the district headquarters on Thursday.
The award carries the purse of Rs 10,000 and certificate letter. The award recipients said they were encouraged to make further contribution to the commercial agriculture.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the World Food Day, the students writing best essays on the theme of family farming and protection of earth were provided awards and certificate letters.
At the programme, Agriculture Development Officer Kishor Pant said his office was taking a campaign of preserving the seeds of lemon, cardamom, potato, orange and maize in every village throughout the district. RSS
