Bank of Kathmandu in Tulsipur looted
In what appear to be an exposure of state’s security lapses, 19.5 million rupees has been looted from the Bank of Kathmandu’s Tulsipur Branch on Friday afternoon. The incident took place at around 6:15 in the evening.
Though the bank was looted by a group of three unidentified persons, which is situated in the middle of the town, the Police authority has said that it was informed very late about the robbery.
According to the Bank Manager of Tulsipur Branch Rishikailash Shrestha, three looters under the disguise of customers approached the bank officials with the deposit voucher just to overpower the bank officials.
According to police, the three who had come to evening service of bank posing as customers made off with Rs. 19.5 million after overpower the branch manager, cashier and guards. SP at District Police Office, Dang, Lokendra Bagadur Malla has informed that it has begun the investigation into the looting.
