Bandits loot traders in Rasuwa

RASUWA: Bandits have looted traders in Ramche area of the Pasang Lahmu highway in Rasuwa district. Three robbers who said they were the cadres of an ethnic front looted Pashupati Devkota, a fowl trader from local Bhorle VDC-1, at gun-point.

The robbers stopped his truck near Ramche VDC and looted Rs 225,000 in cash, a gold chain and ring weighing 1.5 tolas, a wrist watch and five mobile sets from Devkota by pointing a pistol at him, the District Police Office, Rasuwa stated.

The bandits stopped the truck on the highway, took the five people aboard the truck below the road and looted them. Police said a search is on for the robbers. A suspect has been arrested in this connection. RSS
