Band returns to Far-West, East already in trouble

KATHMANDU:  The agitation, which was called off a week ago, has been started again from today by the Undivided Far-West supporters.

According to Coordinator of the Agitation Mobilization Committee, Gopal Deuba, the agitation has been called from today saying the agreement signed between talks team of the Undivided Far-West and the government was not implemented.

The agitators said they have been compelled to launch agitation again as activities against the agreement for not dividing the Far-West while carrying out restructuring of the state had surfaced.

Businesses, industries, transport services and educational institutions have been completely shut down due to the agitation.

Tarai banda cripples life

Biratnagar: The indefinite strike called by Broader Madhesi Front has thrown the normal life out of gear in Tarai region for the seventh consecutive day today.

Factories, industries and vehicles have shut down though some shops in the inner areas of the market have been opened.

The banda enforcers have even obstructed the motorcycles from plying.
Police said that so far no untoward incident has been reported. RSS
