Band enforcers seize Swiss agency bus

KAWASOTI: Shutdown enforcers have taken control three vehicles including a tourist bus in Danda, Nawalparasi today for defying general strike called by Tharu community.

Different 11 organizations associated to Tharu community organized Terai shutdown today demanding the Terai be carved out into three provinces.

Bandh enforcers have seized a Kathmandu-bound tourist bus (Ba 1 Pa 514), a vehicle belonging to Swiss government development corporation (SDC) and a min truck (Lu 1 Kha 6687) carrying vegetable and seven motorbikes foe defying bandh, said Tharu Youth Council Nawalparasi Chairperson Yug Mahato.

Educational institutions, transportation and market areas have been adversely affected due to bandh. The vehicles seized during today will be handed over only after 5.00 pm today, Mahato said. RSS
