Bamdev warns agitation against peace elements
DHANGADI, April 6: CPN-UML Vice-chair Bamdev Gautam has said his party would wage struggle against anti-peace and constitution forces after May 27 if the tasks related to peace and constitution were not completed.
At a regional mass gathering held at Attariya, Kailali on Thursday, leader Gautam said there is no alternative to conclude peace process and frame new constitution within May 27.
Claiming that the peace and constitution-drafting processes have been stalled owing to the Unified CPN (Maoist), he warned that the more delay the Maoists cause in completing these tasks the more loss it will bear.
UML’s general secretary Iswor Pokharel also warned that people would come up with clarion call against UCPN (Maoist) if the latter did not hand over its weapons by evacuating the cantonments of combatants and conclude the army integration process in line with the agreement made among the parties within April 12.
UML has not triggered any obstructions on the way to conclude the peace process, he said, adding that other parties have also agreed upon the stance put forward by UML in bringing peace process to conclusion. RSS
