Baidya stands steadfast on revolt against party

At an interaction programme organized here today by Karnali Struggle Committee on ‘Political parties’ views on the issues of Karnali’, leader Baidhya clarified that they are not opting for splitting the party rather attempting to place the nation, people and nationality above the party.

It is not good to opt for relegating the issues of national interests into backburner for the partisan interests instead of mobilizing party for nationality, democracy and livelihood, eh further said.

Venting ire at Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai for making slur on the name of party, he said, ‘It is regretful that the government made agreements against nationality, demonstrated indifference to the livelihood issues of general public and only nurtured people of own favor’.

Making clear that the party is committed to the isues raised by Karnali Struggle Committee, he said he would hold discussions with party Chairperson Pushpa kamal Dahal so as to address the public concerns and development related issues of Karnali and to pile pressure on the government.

Member of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Dr. KB Rokaya stressed the need of disruption in continuity to bail the oppressed and disadvantaged people of Karnali out of crisis and give them a feeling of liberation.

The Struggle Committee has been putting forward its protest after submitting memorandum to Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai by setting 10-day ultimatum on March 14.

The Committee said it would launch further stern protest after drawing attention of the prime minister on March 25. RSS
