ANA assured of cooperation by Senator Cardin’s staff
KATHMANDU: A delegation of Association of Nepalis in the Americas (ANA) has been assured of cooperation in various fields by the legislative staff of Senator Benjamin L Cardin, Ann Lee.
Lee, who is also a defense fellow, assured the delegation that he will present the concerns of the ANA to the senator on their behalf.
The delegation led by ANA founder member and past President Dr. Shyam Karki and participated by General Secretary Bijay Thapa was assured to have President Obama send greetings to ANA Convention, slated for July 4 in Dallas.
Lee has also assured that she will try to make provisions for the ANA representative to attend the hearings on confirmation of US ambassador to Nepal and any other issues related to Nepal.
She also has assured to try for encouraging and supporting peace process, democracy and human rights activism in Nepal from the US government.
Among other issues, Lee has also assured to urge the Senator for investigating the denial of visa to Chintamani Yogi and facilitate his visit to the US for participating in the ANA convention.
