Agitation to bring Maoist into consensus course, claims Gyawali

CPN (UML) leader Pradip Gyawali has claimed that the opposition parties’ agitation was not intended for grabbing the power. The protest would pile pressure upon the main ruling party UCPN (Maoist) for taking the consensus course, according to Leader Gyawali.
Speaking at a press meet organized by party office in Ilam, he said that floating an alternative of government under independent person leadership was nothing more than the ploy of the ruling parties to prolong their power in the government.
He said the past movements were stalled as the president had given date for consensus. There will be peaceful agitation, but if the government resorts to suppression, the agitators will take decision accordantly, Gyawali added.
