4.7 magnitude earthquake tremor felt in Nepal’s Capital Kathmandu
KATHMANDU: An earthquake measuring 4.7 in the Richter scale struck located 31 km far from Kathmandu in Dhading area at Katuwalgaun , around 6:30 AM this morning.
United States Geological Survey center received hundreds of felt reports from Nagarjun and Tokha area. Tremor was strongly felt across Kathamandu, Nuwakot and Dhading area.
The nearby villages are Baghmara, Charipauwa, Admaragaun, Thakani Gairigaun, Nayangaun and others. USGS expect moderate damages in these hilly areas.
The Nepal Seismological Center website is down due to high traffic. The epicenter is unknown.
