3 killed, ten injured in separate accidents

CHAUTARA, March 29: At least three persons died and 10 others were injured in separate accidents in Sindhupalchowk district last night due to lightning and high voltage of power.

Nar Bahadur Giri, 75, of Duwachour-8, who had come to the  house of Sitaram Giri of Palchowk VDC-1 as a guest, died on the spot and two others were injured from lightning, according to the District Police Office.

Similarly, Min Bahadur Lama, 27, of Barhabise-4, Dharpa, and Dambar Shrestha, 22, of Syaule VDC-2 were electrocuted due to excessive flow of power, said police.

Injured from the high voltage of power are Keshar Bahadur Lama, 60, Bhim Kumari Lama, 45, Bimala Lama, 18, Bijay Lama, 16,  and Rubendra Lama, 24, of Barhabise-4, and remaining three are from Syaule VDC.

According to the Office, of the injured, Keshar Bahadur Lama and Bhim Kumari Lama are undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. RSS
