3 killed in separate accidents

Kathmandu, March 28: A taxi driver in the capital fell unconscious inside his taxi and later died while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Krishna Maharjan, a resident of Lazimpat in Kathmandu Metropolis-2 was found unconscious inside his taxi (Ba.1Ja.3498) on Tuesday morning. He was rushed to Bir Hospital but died in course of treatment.

Further investigation into his death is underway, police said.

Meanwhile, in Rukum, a tractor driver died when the tractor he was driving met with an accident at Taligaon in Duli VDC of Rukum district on Tuesday.

Tek Bahadur Bharati,24, a resident of Magma-4, who was injured in the accident, was declared dead upon arrival at the district hospital, Salle.

The tractor (Lu.2Ta.38883) loaded with sand was heading towards Duli from Ganraghat bazaar of Jhula when the accident took place, District Police Office, Rukum said.

Likewise, in Nuwakot, a student drowned while swimming at the local Tadi river.

Dipak Lama,18, a resident of Gerkhu VDC-1 had gone to the river for swimming with his friends. He drowned while swimming, police said.

Lama was a student of Grade 9 at the local school in Gerkhu. RSS
