20 killed in suicide attack in Pakistan

By Nasir Habib, Pakistan (CNN) — An explosion killed 20 and injured dozens in Pakistan’s tribal region bordering Afghanistan on Friday, a government official told CNN. A suicide bomber ran into a crowed group of paramilitary members and blew himself up, said Islam Zeb, a top government official of Bajaur Agency.
The paramilitary soldiers were gathered and waiting to be taken to different locations for their routine patrolling.
The incident took place in Khar, one of the main towns of Bajaur Agency, and killed four paramilitary soldiers and 16 civilians, Zeb said.
Among the dead were six children.
