122 Chinese crime convicts fined Rs 1,000

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu district office on Sunday fined Rs 1,000 each to 122 Chinese people convicted of involvement in illegal and anti-China activities.
A single bench of Chief District Officer Janak Raj Dahal delivered a verdict in this regard. “The Chinese people admitted the crime,” he said. Preparations were underway to transfer them to the Department of Immigration of Nepal on Sunday itself for further investigations, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Hobindra Bogati.
The police arrested them from Manamaiju, Maharajgunj and Budhanilkantha of Kathmandu on December 23.
