12-point pact partners should come together, says Prachanda

KATHMANDU:
There was no option but to end the blame game because the aims of the partners of the 12-point understanding were yet to be achieved, said UCPN (Maoist) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. Inaugurating the annual general meeting of Kathmandu Chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) in the capital today, he warned that the regressive forces would be active if 12-point partners would not come together during the political crisis.
Prachanda also expressed his confidence that the ongoing discussions among the parties would find solution within the time recently set by the President.
Lauding the role the media played in all kinds of people’s movements, Dahal urged the media to keep vigilance over the wrong-doing of the parties.
On the occasion, Nepali Congress Spokesperson Dilendra Prasad Badu said immediate need of the country was solution of the political crisis and election within May next year.
Likewise, CPN (UML) leader Pradip Gyawali said bigger threat would emerge and that the achievements made so far could be lost if the third deadline set by the President was missed.
