KATHMANDU: South Korea-based Korea South-East Power Company has assisted over Rs 12 million to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.

Company president and chief executive officer Mr Jae Won Jang today called on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs to hand over the assistance.
The amount will be deposited to the PM’s relief fund.

The DPM thanked the company for the contribution to the fund. The company is the promoter of the 216 Megawatt Upper Trishuli Hydropower Project and on the occasion, the DPM took stock of the progress in the construction.
According to the company president, though the 2015 April earthquake hampered the project implementation, presently construction works were going in full swing. He took the time to request the Nepal Government to proceed up with the power purchase agreement (PPA). In response, the DPM said he would talk to the bodies concerned about the matter. RSS
