Pause of party unification process due to elections: Dahal
CHITWAN: CPN (Maoist Centre) chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said they are in the mission of forming a single communist party in Nepal.
In his address to an election mass meeting this evening at Padam Pokhari of Patihani of western Chitwan, he said the process of establishing a single Communist party was halted for time being bearing in mind the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies.
“The existing leftist alliance will convert into unification shortly after the elections. Others Communist parties at home will be brought to the unification process,” he added.
“There will be a stable government at least for five years after the elections,” he expressed his hope, urging voters to have trust in the Communist candidates for the election.
Earlier, he had held interactions with the people of Phoolbari, Shibanagar, Patihani and Parbatipur of Bharatpur Municipality during the door-to door programme organised in view of the elections.
On the occasion, the locals urged the former Prime Minister to take initiations to address their basic needs for proper roadways, safe drinking water and quality schools among others. RSS
