NHRC appeals to government to save Dr KC’s life

KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has appealed to the government to save life of Dr Govinda KC, who has been waging fast-onto-death for 19 days putting forth demand of reform in the medical education sector.

The NHRC made this appeal after a team led by NHRC Chairperson Anupraj Sharma carried out a monitoring of Dr KC’s agitation and found his health deteriorating, stated a press release issued by NHRC Member Mohana Ansari.
The NHRC also drew the government’s attention to resolve problems by implementing the past agreements signed with Dr KC.
Urging the government to be sensitive and responsible in effective treatment of the people, it asked for fruitful talks, reads the statement. RSS
