Newly appointed CJ Parajuli takes oath of office and secrecy

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Chief Justice, Gopal Prasad Parajuli, has taken the oath of office and secrecy.
At a special programme organised at the office of the President, Shital Niwas, today, President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered oath of office and secrecy to CJ Parajuli.
The Public Hearing Special Committee under the Legislature-Parliament on Sunday approved the name of Parajuli to the post of Chief Justice unanimously.
Present on the occasion were Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Speaker Onsari Gharti, chiefs of constitutional bodies, judges of the Supreme Court and Chief Secretary, Rajendra Kishor Chhetri, among others. RSS
