Nepal Govt. appoints Jaya Bahadur Chand as the new chief of Nepal Police

KATHMANDU: A Cabinet meeting on Sunday appointed DIG Jaya Bahadur Chand as the Inspector General of Nepal Police, (IG).

A Cabinet meeting held this morning made a decision to this effect, according to the PM’s Secretariat.

Likewise, The government on Sunday appointed Singha Bahadur Shrestha as the Chief of Armed Police Force.

Until today, DIG Chand was the chief of the Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police.

DIG Nawa Raj Silwal among other candidates was also eligible to hold the position of Nepal Police chief.
