Mr. Lachhya Gurung Leads In Counselor Race In Barnet Council, UK
Purushottam Dhakal, Los Angeles: Lachhya Gurung a British of Nepalese origin has declared his nomination for the Counselor Race In Barnet Council, Hell Ward, UK election of 2018. Mr. Gurung, who hails from western region of Kaski, Nepal, filed his nomination as a conservative candidate. Mr. Gurung is the fourth Nepali British to run for the Counselor race.
Mr. Gurung is an Ex British Army and has been active for the last decade in the county’s and district’s level Conservative Party politics. He is one of the founder’s of NRNA UK, and has been serving the NRNA global movement since its establishment.
According to the sources, Gurung’s candidacy has been backed by the Matthew James Offord, FRGS a British Conservative Party politician and the Member of Parliament for Hendon in North London.
Speaking to the N24, Mr. Gurung discussed his campaign agenda as Better Schools, Stronger Senior Services, Creating job opportunity and providing services for Ex British Army.
“I have been looking forward for support from all Nepalese in Britain besides necessary endorsement of mainstream British Politics,”Gurung said.
Born in rural Nepal, he has been living in the UK and has served the country as a British Army. He started his Britain journey as a retired British Army.
Mr. Bachchu Kailash Kaini, British Politician asserted, “Mr. Gurung is a passionate and a very hard working person and Nepalese British Community is proud to have him as a Counselor”.
Oli Hazel, Counselor Candidate and others conservative party leaders has endorsed and supported Mr. Gurung’s candidacy.
Nepalese entrepreneurs Mr. Surya Gurung, Mr. Chirnjivi Dhakal and Mr. Pashupati Bhandari expressed their satisfaction over Mr. Gurung’s endeavor to integrate Nepalese Community in UK mainstream.
Mr. Surya Gurung said Mr. Lachhya Gurung’s candidacy has sent a wave of excitement among the Nepalese in the UK. This also indicates that even we can do something in this far away land.
