Japan to provide equipment worth about Rs 700 million to TUTH

KATHMANDU: The Government of Japan is to provide medical equipment worth around Rs 700 million in assistance to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) at local Maharajgunj. 

Hospital Director Dr. Deepak Mahara said the equipment would arrive in December. Mahara added that Japan was providing the assistance as per the proposal of the hospital that it would be convenient for the hospital if the assistance was provided in kind rather than cash.
After the April 25, 2015 earthquake, Japan had promised to provide money to TUTH for purchasing the equipment.
The equipments which Japan is providing include MRI machine, mammograph machine, ultrasound and equipments used in the operation theatre. RSS
