N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:  Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs are expected to take Nepalese star defender Rohit Chand. This appeared in  talkSport website with fitting headline clubs battle for Nepalese star defender. Chand is with Indian club Hindustan Aeronautics Limited SC jersey.

Chand who is playing for Nepal in Amman in 2014 World Cup Asia Zone Qualifying first-leg match against Jordan, is expected to fly England on the strength of being a classy defender.

Former Spurs skipper Graham Roberts, who is the coach of Nepal, is all praise for Chand. Chand, from Surkhet, started his club career with Machhindra FC and made his foray into the national team in March 2009 during the AFC Challenge Cup match against Palestine. He has so far made 12 appearances for the national team.

Deuba races ahead of poor Paudel; latter going around asking 'was there any deal"

KATHMANDU:Here is the joke of a lifetime for Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel. He is a parliamentary party leader but is now expected to pave way for Sher Bahadur Deuba who has come out strongly as the contender for ime minister soon.

Shocked to see Sushil Koiala backing Deuba, Paudel is asking everyone around whether there was secret deal between Sushil and Deuba. Sushil had been denying there was any deal but facts are emerging. Another Congress top gun who is shocked is K P Sitaula. He too has been lobbying in favor of Paudel and asking "was there any deal".

Tired of it all, Sushil has said that "he was for a change of leadership now."

Poudel who currently leads the Nepali Congress parliamentary delegation was taken aback when Sushil made this spine chilling remark.

Unfortunately, the meeting between top leadership was called by President Koirala at his residence at per the request of Poudel himself.

Sushil has just returned from New Delhi. This adds some meaning to his taking the sides now of Deuba. It appears that the row is now settled with  Narhari Acharya who was present at the meeting issuing a call to Sushio: “Sushil da now you need to take some action to bring the leadership issue to a closure”.

Khum Bahadur Khadka, Bimalendra Nidhi, Gopal Man Singh, Arjun Narsingh K.C., Dilendra Badu, Minendra Rijal, Purna bahadur Khadka and Dr. Narayan Khadka too jointly said, “Yes, Sushil Da..Yes…you have to solve the issue immediately.”

Many are still in favor of a status quo with Paudel as leader and Deuba as prime minister. Deuba has secured the Maoist backing and Congress leadership left to back Deuba. After a call from Delhi that is.
