KATHMANDU: Main opposition, Nepali Congress, has issued orders restricting party leaders to visit foreign nations unless peace and constitution drafting process are concluded.

Party General Secretary Prakash Man Singh informed that an informal meeting of the NC's office bearers took the decision on Thursday morning.

Prior to NC, another opposition party CPN UML had also restricted its leaders from visiting foreign countries. Both parties decision came after media criticized political parties for escalating foreign trips and latest of them is slated for Friday.

Around 16 leaders from the Maoists, NC, UML and Madhesh based parties were slated to visit Switzerland to take part in a seminar on Friday.
