N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat has said complications have arisen in the country due to the totalitarian thinking of and lust for power shown by the Unified CPN (Maoist).
Speaking at a press meet organised by Press Union, Chitwan, here on Friday, he accused the current government as the most irresponsible.
NC leader Mahat also blamed the UCPN-Maoist and Madhes based political parties for the dissolution of the CA, saying that the UCPN-Maoist has turned to be anti-republican and undemocratic political party.
He said the UCPN-Maoist has formed alliance after the party’s political condition deteriorated and termed it as the opportunist alliance.
No forces in the country should join the alliance led by the UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to justify them as the republican forces and warned of toppling the incumbent government through protests.
He said The NC was ready to take leadership for the consensus government if the President calls for the formation of such a government.
