DPM Shrestha calls on Victoria’s Governor Dessau

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Gopal Man Shrestha, who is on a visit to Australia, held a meeting with Governor of Victoria Linda Dessau in Victoria on Tuesday. 

Both the leaders discussed the issues of existing education system of both Nepal and Australia while stressing the need for imparting professional and skill development training, it is learnt.
On the occasion, Minister Shrestha thanked the Government of Australia for providing assistance for the development of schools in Nepal.
He also shared that the vocational education and technical training launched in Nepal under the Skills Development Project being run with grant assistance from the Asian Development Bank were being implemented effectively and efforts were underway to manage private and community training centers.
A team including Minister Shrestha had left for Australia on Friday to study the system of professional education being practiced at international level. DPM Shrestha is scheduled to return home on coming Sunday. RSS
