CIAA lodges case against Revenue Officer, Computer Officer

KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Sunday lodged a case at the Special Court against Revenue Investigation Officer and Computer Officer of Mid-West and Far-West Regional Office of the Revenue Investigation Department.
The anti-graft body said that Revenue Investigation Officer Bhim Prasad Ghimire and Computer Officer Govinda Bahadur Shahi were arrested red-handed while taking Rs 570,000 in bribe money some days ago from a service buyer under the pretext of determining tax amount.
The CIAA has sought same amount in fine and maximum penalty from the accused two. RSS
