Bhutanese refugee resettled from Nepal killed in US road accident

DAMAK: A Bhutanese refugee resettled in the United States of America from Nepal has recently been killed in a road accident in Tennessee.
The deceased has been identified as Rudra Bahadur Rai (49).
The accident had occurred when three cars including the one that Rai was driving collided at around 11:30 pm on Monday (local time), said Jitu Basnet, one of Rai’s friends living in the US.
Rai had been living in a refugee camp at Beldangi in Damak before leaving for the US under the third country resettlement programme initiated by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
